Blondeau-educated ALMANZOR wins the Jockey Club Prize 2016!

ALMANZOR, bred at the Haras d'Etreham, presented at the Arqana sales in Deauville, educated at the Ecole Blondeau, trained by Jean-Claude Rouget and ridden by Jean-Bernard Eyquem is the winner of the Jockey Club Prize 2016.

ALMANZOR arrived in Saumur in 2014, several months after the victory of Blondeau-educated AVENIR CERTAIN in the Prix de Diane.

"Blondeau-educated" means value added!

All too often breaking-in is limited to backing a youngster and concentrating only on the physical side. The Blondeau method aims to educate youngsters while maximising their potential. It concentrates on the safety of the jockeys, training jockeys, travelling lads, vets and grooms. A willing young horse will instinctively settle to work with ease. Starting off with the Blondeau method means learning to understand the horse and engage with him. The horse will have so much more confidence to show off his natural qualities that those who work with him will listen and act in a consistent way towards him.

Many thanks to all members of Jean-Claude Rouget's team for all these years of confidence! Well done, ALMANZOR.
